چکیده
Abstract Background Verticillium dahliae Kleb. is a soil-borne pathogen with broad host spectrum and causes yield losses in cotton cultivation worldwide. Beauveria bassiana an environmentally friendly entomopathogenic fungus (EPF) that has been recognized, used studied for many years. Results As control, all local of B. isolates inhibited mycelial growth the at different rates. The highest percentage inhibition against non-defoliating (PHCVd3 isolate) defoliating (PHCVd47 pathotypes was determined Bb18 (85.3; 81.7%) Bb1 (82.3; 77.5%) isolates, respectively, when applied 2 days ago. Isolates (80.6%) (77.8%) had percentages PHCVd3 isolate, (75.8%) isolate PHCVd47, EPF were same time. Conclusions showed hope both wilt disease caused by V. under vitro conditions. Especially, observed to induce higher rates, developed Petri dish before pathogen.

In vitro evaluation for compatibility of additives with Beauveria bassiana (Balsamo) Vuillemin
An in vitro evaluation was conducted for compatibility of 12 commonly used additives at three different concentrations of (0.1, 0.5, and 1.00%) with Beauveria bassiana through poisoned food technique. The results were expressed as radial growth and growth inhibition of B. bassiana on an additive treated medium. All the additives showed an inhibition in mycelial growth of B. bassiana, either par...

متن کاملEvaluation of strawberry cultivars for resistance to Verticillium dahliae Kleb
Verticillium dahlia Kleb. is a soil-borne pathogen which causes worldwide economically important plant and yield losses. So far no resistance preventing the fungus from growing in the plants could be found in the genus Fragaria. But there are cultivars with different levels of tolerance. In particular after the ban on chemical control with effective soil disinfectants (methylbromid) cultivation...
متن کاملSusceptibility of preimaginal western cherry fruit fly, Rhagoletis indifferens (Diptera: Tephritidae) to Beauveria bassiana (Balsamo) Vuillemin Clavicipitaceae (Hypocreales).
Last-instar larvae of the western cherry fruit fly, Rhagoletis indifferens, were subjected to Beauveria bassiana GHA incorporated into sterile sand and non-sterile orchard soil. Mycosis in the pupal stage was observed in >20% of buried R. indifferens pupae and >80% of larvae entering sand treated with either of two B. bassiana isolates. When pre-pupal larvae burrowed into conidium-treated non-s...
متن کاملSpatial Pattern of Verticillium dahliae Microsclerotia and Cotton Plants with Wilt Symptoms in Commercial Plantations
Spatial patterns of pathogen inoculum in field soils and the resulting patterns of disease may reflect the underlying mechanisms of pathogen dispersal. This knowledge can be used to design more efficient sampling schemes for assessing diseases. Spatial patterns of Verticillium dahliae microsclerotia were characterized in commercial cotton fields through quadrat and point sampling in 1994 and 20...
